IMDRF 2023

Andrea Hanson is currently the Market Analysis Lead in the Medical Devices Department at the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA).

Andrea has worked with the HPRA for over 20 years. During this time she has held a number of roles in the areas of Medical Device Vigilance and Market Surveillance. She has also been the HPRA representative on a number of European and International Medical Device related taskforces and working groups.

Andrea held the role of Secretariat for the IMDRF National Competent Authority Report (NCAR) Exchange between 2014 and 2022. She has recently assumed the role as co-chair of the IMDRF Adverse Event Terminology working group.

Andrea worked in medical device manufacturing and in the healthcare sector prior to joining the HPRA.
