Ms. Wong Woei Jiuang is currently the Assistant Group Director of Medical Devices Cluster in the Health Products Regulation Group of Health Sciences Authority in Singapore. The cluster is responsible for the pre and post market regulation of medical devices as well as the pre-market consultation scheme that supports innovation and device development by ensuring devices are in line with regulatory requirements.
She is a registered pharmacist and holds a Master of Science in Applied Gerontology. She has more than 20 years of experience working in the regulatory sector. She has spent the last decade working in Singapore as a medical device regulator, had served as the chair of the ASEAN Medical Device Committee and is currently a management committee member of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum. She took an active part in the drafting and development of the WHO Global Regulatory Framework for Medical Devices, including in vitro diagnostics, and contributed her expertise to the WHO Global Benchmarking Tool for medical devices. She has recently been appointed as a member of the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Medical Devices (STAG- MEDEV)
