Jan is Regulatory Affairs Manager at Materialise Medical where he and his team are responsible for the global regulatory compliance of Materialise’s innovative (personalized) medical devices and medical device software.

Jan holds a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineer and received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Leuven (Belgium) with research on the use of hydrogels for bone tissue engineering application. After his postdoc, Jan joined Materialise to head the R&D team of Materialise’s subsidiary Mobelife to support the further development of their personalized, 3D-printed orthopaedic implants. In the following years, he held multiple positions at Materialise, including Quality Manager and Biosafety Manager.
