Augusto B. Geyer, PharmD, MSc, currently holds the position of Head of the Medical Devices Office at the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA). From 2017 to 2022, he served as the Senior Advisor and Deputy General Manager of the Office of Medical Devices. In the preceding period, spanning from 2014 to 2017, he assumed the role of Manager at the Office of In Vitro Diagnostics. Since his enrollment at ANVISA in 2005, initially as a Specialist in Regulation and Health Surveillance, he has consistently represented the Office of Medical Devices in various international technical working groups and committees such as IMDRF, ISO, and WHO, alongside other pertinent organizations.
His academic background is marked by his attainment of a Pharmacy Degree, further complemented by his specialization in Sanitary Law. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
